Cyber Safety Completion
Cyber Safety Completion Certification Form

Cyber safety is a vital part of the online environment; the district network, Internet access, computers, and other instructional technology equipment bring added benefits to the core curriculum areas. In keeping with federal, state, and local guidelines, San Antonio ISD is committed to providing resources as well as rigorous cyber safety practices, which include appropriate use agreements for all staff and students using: blogs, social networking sites, computers, and Internet to engage students and staff in safe and responsible online behavior.
As part of the overall mission, the Office of Instructional Technology Learning Services seeks to create and maintain a safe learning environment which is in keeping with the San Antonio ISD acceptable use policy by providing lessons and teacher resources to use with students in grades K-12. Therefore, each campus principal within San Antonio ISD must submit the following campus certification of completion form indicating the verification of instruction in the elements of cyber safety.
Submission of the following form indicates:
The successful completion of cyber safety lessons in keeping with the San Antonio ISD acceptable use policy. I understand that our students, teachers, and staff members will be expected to follow cyber safety guidelines. These guidelines include: 1.) Restricting access to inappropriate, illegal, or harmful material on the Internet or on any other technological device, 2.) Working with children and their families to encourage and develop an understanding of the importance of cyber safety through cyber safety lessons, and 3.) Discussing appropriate behavior with students for becoming responsible digital citizens.
I have read and understood the above guidelines and I am aware of the district’s cyber safety initiative. Our students, teachers, and staff will maintain a cyber safe learning environment.
