Hi folks! I'm currently taking an online course to learn ways to use technology to make learning more exciting and relevant for our students. As part of this course, l received some new technology - a digital camera, video camera, digital audio recorder, projector and laptop. What a better way to learn how to use the equipment than to play with it!?!? So, I'm going to be working on a short video titled, "What's so GREAT about Kelly?"
The staff and I have already brainstormed ideas we have about what makes Kelly a great school. I'm also going to be asking your children what they think is so great about Kelly. I'd also like to hear from you. Over the next two weeks I'll be shooting video of students engaged in learning activities, teachers and staff working with students, and parents involved in their child's education. I'll also be taking photographs and interviewing students, staff and parents. The finished product will be placed on our Kelly Elementary web site.

In my opinion, it's a wonderful idea! what if you send an activity sheet home for parents and kids to do together, it can have questions or they can put comments about what makes kelly a great school. If you need pics of past events I have some that I can download. A small idea might be to maybe start a journalism group with the children, any child that would be willing to communicate and work together as a team ...and then you can also incorporate that with the new project. You could include it during the p.t.a meetings and have a table for kids brainstorming and also it would get the parents input to..But my thoughts about what makes kelly a great school is that you can walk in like its your home away from home for the parents and children...As a parent I have always felt appreciated and wanted at kelly, Kelly is always trying different ways of making learning fun for the children...kelly is great because kelly cares!
Kelly is a great school because we are a small community that works together to make it better...well I hope I have helped a little.

I just love this school i have been here since kindergarden and all my teachers are so nice and i just think that it is a great idea to have a blog my persanla favorite is that all of the teachers really conect with the students and i think that is really special about kelly i think this is a great school and at the end of the year i will be sad to go i really will!!!

Kelly is so Great beacuse when you walk through those doors it's like walking into your very own home.
Everyone at kelley from the Teachers & staff to the cafeteria & Janitors are so loving & they just
make you feel right at home. I am so happy that my children have been blessed with a school that is
so united. I know that once my kids get off the car in the morning they are being educated, loved &
cared for just like if they were home with me. I have the utmost respect for what you guys do for
all the kids @ kelly. I just don't know what I'd do without your support. Thank you again for helping
& encouraging our children to be excell in everything that they do. Your hard work & dedication to these kids
