I have a wonderful daughter that is currently in 3rd grade. We have a
toy chihuahua named Lilly. I enjoy swimming, reading and spending time
with my family.
I am a 2000 graduate from UTSA with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies and a specialization in Early Childhood Education. I begin teaching, with SAISD in August 2000 at Gates Elementary. Since then I have worked at Stewart Elementary, also with SAISD and at Ruben Chavira Elementary in San Felipe Del Rio Independent School District. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th grades. I have enjoyed each year and every challenge. This year will be especially difficult to see my students leave. They will be leaving not just my class but to middle school. The group of students I have this year have been with me in Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 4th grade and 5th grade. Teaching them has been a wonderful experience that I would not trade for anything.
