Conference: 1st period; 8:45-9:40 am
I teach the BAC (Behavior Academic Curriculum) Unit which consist of 6th,7th and 8th grade students.
2nd nine weeks:
English Class: Students are currently reading a Novel "Hatchet", SW be working with vocabulary, similies, metaphors and summarization.
Science Class: 6th & 7th graders; SW be studying Energy, Renewable and Non Revewable resources and Geology.
So. Studies: 6th graders will continue to study Geography of Europe and the resources, religion and economic facets.
7th graders are currently studying Austin's Colony, Empressario system and life in the colonies.
8th graders will be studying the 13 colonies, declaration of independance and the different battles and their outcomes..
Math Class: 6th graders are working on Fraction/decimal/percent, measurement, probability and statistics. On Fridays all students will work on refreshing their basic skills.
7th & 8th graders; are working on Fraction/decimal/percent, finding percent of a number,solve word problems using proprtions.
Homework will be expected to be completed every night. Students have the math problems in their AVID binders.
Homework is collected every Friday.
