Student are to turn in their History Fair Project by Friday, November 20th. Several students have been staying after school to take advantage of my help. My aim for these after school sessions is to teach them proper use of the computer software and how to gain access to proper research material for their topic. I plan on being available to help students as long as they ask for this help.and they use the time wisely. If any help is needed they have also been given my cell number: 316-3295 to call for help.

My student will be studying the geography of Europe. They will also learn about early cultures such as the Greeks and Romans during The Middle Ages and the Magna Carta. Then they will study the growth of new ideas during the Renaissance and the Age of Exploration and the Rise of Industrialism and Colonialism. They will also study Europe during the war and "The Cold War" and the resulting modern Europe. They will know about the involvement of the United States with the Soviet Union, The student will learn about he economic situation in Europe and about the religious diversity in Europe.such as Christianity, Judaism and Islam and the observances and holidays involved with these religions.
I would like to invite for our parents and grandparents to talk with their child about what their experiences were during this time in history. These personal experiences will enrich our students and help them make connections with what they learn.

8-24-09 Students are to bring their school supplies
8-24-09 Students need to bring their spiral notebook, a collection of pictures from magazines and of themselves so that they can put together their interactive notebook.
8-31-09 Students are to write an "I am from" history of themselves and family background using the format shown in class. They are to write the names of the streets.
9-2-09 Students are to draw a detail map of their trip / route to school. The map must include a legend,the cardinal directions, street names the compass rose
9-02-09 Students write two paragraphs on "How does my personal story reflect the concepts of government, geography, economics, and culture.

1st Nine Weeks in My Class:
My students will be studying the countries of North, Central and South Americas. They will be working on activities that will help them understand that geological factors in these regions and how they affect the life there and life around the world. These factors influence global economies and political policies of the world. Consequently, the study of geologic features that have effected the population growth, economic activity, government structure and cultures in those countries might provide the student with a greater understanding of their future competition in a global market. This knowledge will hopefully help them understand that education is the major factor that elevates a country from experiencing loss of jobs to another country and preventing poverty.

Schools Attended
I attended San Antonio College immediately after graduating from high school. My family moved to Kingville, Texas where I attended Texas A & I University. We moved to New Mexico where I worked as a Red Cross Volunteer at the Military Hospital. I learned so much from the doctors with whom I worked. i also saw the results of war on the injured soldiers. This truely gave me a new on war and the effects on the soldiers injured. After that learning experience, we moved back to San Antonio. I continued my education at the University of Texas at San Antonio where I was on the Deans List. I have attended graduate school at the University of Texas at San Antonio and Our Lake of the Lake University.

My teaching Philosophy is that you're never to young nor too old to learn. I believe that everyone is an unique individual that can learn and can learn how to learn. The fun begins when you start to learn.
